This Level 2 course is breaking new ground. It is starting something new and it is exciting for all of us involved. Until now, it has been difficult for students to find a career pathway in security. Most, if not all, employees working as security specialists, security managers or security guards will have done so as a second career or later career option. People leaving the armed forces and police services are a good example of this. Within technical skill sets, many have become security specialists having previously worked in IT.

This Level 2 course aims to make entry into security more accessible and more appropriate and with the knowledge given in this Level 2 e-learning course.

Security being modern!

This Level 2 Security Practitioner course is designed for the new starter into the world of security. The course assumes that you will know very little about security and how the prevention and protection parts of our world work. You will learn about the many different reasons why security is a very important part of our daily lives; how different skill sets are involved and how they all work towards a common goal to make our world a safer and better place. But security is not one skill set, it is comprised of many skill sets, and you will be better informed during and after the course to know if any skill sets of security are right for you.
